Mixed media on imitated fish sole using Chroma burst

Hello lovely people
Bhavani Balaji here to share a mixed media project on imitated fish sole. Actually this base impressed me a lot and i just wanted to try something different on it. So i thought of using our newly launched chroma burst and beads texture paste on it. lets move on to my creation...

This is the imitated fish sole that i was a speaking about. This seems to be just like a fish but it will be like plaster piece. so it amazed me very much. If we drop this down it may break into pieces like earthen ware. so to secure this i planned to mount it on a wooden plank just to give and handling will be easy i thought.

This is how i stareted with primng the surface with white gesso and used bubbles stencils to give some textures over it. then started sprinkling chroma burst tea cup teal, lemon verbena, and blue lagoon to match the sea colours

This is fun and interesting part is using immix embossing powders on chipboard embellishments. I used antique gold, green, shimmer gold and algae green embossing powders

This is the are which i love the most i again used newly launched products glass baeds texture gel medium to give some nice sugary texture. This actually reflect light when allowed to dry natural clear.

Few closeups of embossing and beads texture paste

This is i finally completed this project using Deco stones, shells, glass nuggets and mica flakes.
Hope you all like this project and dont wait to try immix Chroma Burst, Glass nuggets, Mica flakes and glass beads texture gel medium.
Hope you all like this projects and inspired to use immix products. see you soon
Happy Crafting!!

Altered card board Rolls - Mixed Media

Hello crafty friends!
Happy to be back with my creations. Today i just tried something useful product using Mixed Media technique. Yes pen/brush holder. i really enjoyed doing this. I planned to create something aged, rustic, under the sea kind of effect. so i have used some shells  ( my sons collection LOL!!), gesso, acrylic colors, waste cardboard roll, some sequins, pearls from my stash....

Below are the materials i have used and its from Papericious, and Expressions stencils. which is available in www.craftsneed.com.

Okay! shall we start...

step 1:
I have arranged the cardboard rolls in a circular manner.

step 2:
cut any left over pattern papers according to the size of the rolls. This step is optional or u can paint inside with any color you want.

step 3:
Ahere all the pattern papers inside the roll

step 4:
Apply Black Gesso  all over the roll and base

Step 5:
Stick the shells at the base of the holder.

step 6:
with white heavy gesso stencil the design on the cardboard. also stick the chippies where ever necessary

Step 7:

Dilute the Black heavy gesso and apply all over the stenciled design.

Step 8:

This is the final and very interesting step. playing with colors.
apply colours as per your choice, as i wanted the old, aged, under the sea effect so used much of green and blue with gold, bronze and silver.

here is the completed view
